What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle-touch energy therapy that balances the Universal Qi or Prana energy in the body, cultivating wellness.
While the exact mechanism of Reiki is not yet understood, reputable clinical studies continue to prove that it is extremely effective in reducing stress, physical pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and can reduce healing times after an injury or surgery.
Why Get Reiki?
Reiki is most commonly used for, and has scientifically been shown beneficial for, stress reduction and management. This is incredibly important as studies have shown that over 60% of all diseases are caused, at their roots, by stress! Reiki is used in every country across the world. In the US, Reiki is becoming more commonplace in private practices, clinics, hospitals and hospices for it's amazing calming effect, ability to reduce healing times after injuries or surgeries, and more. That being said, Reiki s a therapy that you can't afford NOT to try!
What To Expect
For your first session with me, please arrive about 10 minutes early. I will have a piece of paperwork or two for you to fill out, and then will want to chat with you about what you're looking for with your Reiki treatment and how you're feeling that day.
You will remain fully clothed (though you may take off your shoes) and lie down on a massage table. Lights will be dimmed and there will be music.
I will lay my hands on or above you and begin to channel the Qi. You may experience warmth, tingling or a pleasant "electric" feeling as the energy moves, flows and breaks through blockages. Reiki is not painful.
I have had clients fall asleep on the table, chat with me the whole time, or just lie there enjoying the treatment. I have had reports of my clients seeing a light, feeling warm, feeling pleasantly full, and/or a general sense of well-being.
Every session includes aromatherapy, utilizing only the highest quality, purest, therapeutic grade essential oils to help enhance and deepen your relaxing and healing experience.
Will One Session "Do It?"
Maybe. It's different for everyone. But most of the time it takes about 4 hours of Reiki (4 1-hour sessions or 8 30-minute session) to notice "big" changes. You will probably notice smaller changes after the first session.
